Thassos - accommodation

Can't really class this as a recommendation as we haven't actually stayed there yet, but I saw a poster advert in a local supermarket for a rustic property on Thassos and have been in touch with the owner. We haven't actually stayed in the place but are considering it for next year to combine it with a stay in Bansko - wed did a similar thing a couple of years ago staying in Bansko and on the Greek coast on the mainland and had a brilliant time, it was a really nice combination of an active mountain holiday and relaxing break by the sea. I thought other people on the forum might be interested - possibly even for this season, although late notice.

It has 3 double bedrooms (accommodates 6 +2) and is set in 1.5 acres overlooking Golden Beach Bay (10 min by car) and a 5 minute walk up the mountain to Panagia. Owner will arrange transfer to and from Kavala airport to the property (ferry price not included in cost of villa hire) and offers use of a 4-seater car and 2-seater scooter (included in villa price, with insurance) for the duration of the stay. He is offering introductory rates for this season - July & August £550 per week, September £400 per week, which given that it includes use of the car/scooter seems pretty reasonable.
